Fitzwilliam House is an occupied Higher-Risk Residential Building (HRB) comprising 54 self-contained residential apartments over 8 storeys, together with ground floor commercial units.

The façade remediation of Fitzwilliam House will see the removal of the timber linings, decking, ceiling and walls from the balconies. Works will also involve the removal of the timber decking on the flat roof of the 6th floor at the Fitzwilliam Street elevation. All materials are to be replaced with alternative, non-combustible materials..

The building will remain occupied throughout the works and resident safety will be maintained at all times through compliance with the project's Construction Phase Plan, Fire Risk Assessment, and Fire Strategy.
