Currently progressing through the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) application process, the façade remediation of Frobisher House in Plymouth focuses on removing combustible materials from a section of the west elevation and replacing them with fully compliant, non-combustible systems.
The works include the removal of existing timber cladding, timber batten supports, fire barriers, and breather membrane. These will be replaced with non-combustible timber-effect cladding installed on an aluminium fixing system, with new horizontal and vertical fire barriers at floor levels, wall junctions, and around windows. Gaps in the existing cement board will be infilled with new cement board, and a new breather membrane will be installed to complete the system.
Status: Awaiting BSR Approval
