The No.1 Princes Dock project saw the successful completion of Phase 3 of the building's façade remediation. This phase centred on remedial work to the precast concrete cladding panels, aimed at enhancing fire safety and ensuring compliance with the current Building Regulation Approved Document B.
The scope involved removing sections of internal plasterboard walls to install the missing fire barriers. All work was carried out from within the apartments, while residents were temporarily relocated to minimize disruption. Once the fire barriers were installed, the walls were fully restored to their original condition.
The project was executed in weekly phases to complete work across all 129 apartments, ensuring minimal disruption. Careful planning was essential to maintain apartment security and protect residents’ possessions throughout the process, offering peace of mind to everyone involved.
Despite the project's complexity, the team completed the work in just 37 weeks—an impressive 15 weeks ahead of schedule.
